In the coming weeks, ServerDirect will be navigating temporary disruptions in the global supply chain due to the Chinese New Year. This does not apply to a single manufacturer, but to all vendors dependent on production, planning, and shipment releases from Asia.

What does this mean for your order?

During the Chinese New Year, headquarters and production lines largely come to a standstill. This has a direct impact on:

• Issuing Proforma Invoices (PIs).
• Processing Purchase Orders (POs).
• Releasing and shipping orders.

Key Dates at a Glance

• Current Week: Normal operations and standard procedures.
• Week 7: Final opportunity to fully finalize orders before the shutdown.
• Week 8: No new POs, PIs, or order releases possible.
• After Week 9: Phased restart of operations.

Note: If an order (including PO, PI, and payment) is fully completed before the shutdown, it can often still be prepared and delivered within Europe. New orders not finalized on time will automatically be pushed back until after week 9.

In practice, we often see additional delays due to limited staffing immediately before and after the official holiday period.

1. Finalize POs and payments as soon as possible.
2. Do not wait until the final week to make a decision.
3. Account for extra lead time in your internal planning.
4. Coordinate with us early if the hardware is mission-critical.
